This is a genuine US military USMC issue Field Tarp in MARPAT (Woodland Digital) camouflage that measures approximately 90" x 80".  The top side is made of lightweight ripstop nylon, and the underside is coyote brown in color and is nylon coated and has been treated with a flame resistant urethene.  The tarp has 8 grommets to use in various hanging configurations.  This tarp weighs only 2 pounds.

There are also 24 sets of gypsy snaps down the edges of the tarp that alternate male and female connectors.  This allows you to snap the tarp to itself to shorten it or to create a drain channel.  You can also snap multiple tarps together to make a larger shelter.

These tarps are lightweight, durable, abraision resistant, waterproof, and non-reflective.  Add this tarp to your gear collection for making a shelter, sunshade, ground cover, or gear cover.

Item Condition

These tarps have been used and issued previously by the USMC and will show some signs of wear.  Pretty much all of the tarps will have at least small pinholes in them, but the holes can be very difficult to see and the smallest ones will not really impact the tarp's overall usability.  Most of the corner bungees will be missing as well.  Please refer to the following quality guide when making your selection:

  • Very Good - These tarps will have some small pinholes or small tears (smaller than a pen cap), and will have all grommets and snaps intact.
  • Good - These tarps will have some small holes or rips (smaller than a dime), and will have all grommets and snaps intact.
  • Acceptable - These tarps will have some holes or rips (from the size of a nickel to as much as a couple inches), and may be missing a snap or grommet.
  • CIF Turn-In - These tarps will have larger holes or rips (larger than 2") or may have some other defects.

Didn't stink, I'm gonna have to look for pinholes, but based on the rolled up appearance, I'm hopegul that I won't find any.
